MEDICAL EDUCATION AND RESEARCH COUNCIL OF INDIA

We may include evaluation of the transfer or acquisition of knowledge, attitudes or skills in any topic relevant to human health among any type of learner, including health professionals, students in the health professions, and patients. Topics often fall into one of the six professional core competencies (i.e., patient care, medical knowledge, practice-based learning and improvement, interpersonal and communication skills, systems-based practice, and professionalism) defined by the Accreditation Council of Graduate Medical Education. Legitimate outcome measures include changes in knowledge, attitudes, skills, behaviors, and even patient outcomes.

Director Message

Dear Students,
India is passing through a phase of 'epidemiological transition'. There is an increasing trend in communicable and non-communicable diseases. Also, there has been a significant shift from hospital-care to community or home-based care due to economic reasons.

Hence, the need for having human-resource trained in health-related courses like nursing, health care attendant, OT attendant, ambulance attendant and so on to adequately support medicos and paramedics has been realized.

Vision

The Medical Education and Research Council of India with its central office in Saharanpur was established under Article 29 and 30 (1) of Constitution of India and incorporated under The Legislation of Government of India with an aim to minimize shortfall in trained and qualified paramedics.
